There are some collaborations that sound and feel like the artists involved have grown up together musically, like they were in band together all their lives and we just didn’t know about it. This is the feeling i get whenever Flying Lotus, Erykah Badu and Thundercat get together. It’s like you’ve been let in to a very special jam session with music that is being made especially for you and them on the spot. Jazzy, cosmic and scintillatingly progressive. The bass, the percussion, the voice all come together in a tidy and elegant jazz symphony. Flylo will be visiting our shores in November for a show in London (I already have my ticket) and the album Until The Silence Comes drops October 2nd.
